Lewis's Obituary

Lewis C. Osborn, Jr., 78, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Monday evening, June 27, 2022 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

Born April 10, 1944 in Newark, Ohio he was a son of the late Lewis C. and Pearl B. (Roley) Osborn, Sr.  Mr. Osborn was a self-employed carpenter and was a co-owner of Osborn Brothers Builders.  He was a member of Perryton Church of Christ where he was an Elder.  He also taught Sunday School for many years and was the song leader.  He enjoyed playing guitar, gardening, doing woodworking projects and spending time on the lake with his fishing buddy, Bill Morgan.

Surviving is one son, Timothy (Sheryl) Osborn of Frazeysburg; three daughters, Teresa (Richard) Watson, Tammy (Tom) Giffin and Tiffany (Jason) Murphy, all of Frazeysburg; six grandchildren, Dylan (Melanie) Osborn, Taylor (Tyler) Harble, Jason (Anne) Watson, Tyler (Rachel) Watson, Austin (Maureen) Murphy and Genna Murphy and seven great grandchildren, Lillian, Paxton, Skylan, Owen, Amelia, Evelyn and Paisley.  Also surviving are two brothers, Delbert (Peg) Osborn and Asa (Marilyn) Osborn, both of Newark; three sisters, Pansy Queen and Judith (Ron) Hewitt, both of Newark and Joy (Ed) Phillips of Tallmadge, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of nearly 56 years, Karen S. (O’Dell) Osborn whom he married November 16, 1962 and who died July 6, 2018; a great grandson, Brighton Watson; one brother, Calvin Osborn and a sister, Janice Osborn.

Calling hours will be 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm Friday, July 1, 2022 at Meadow View Church of Christ, 6750 Raiders Road, Frazeysburg, Ohio.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Meadow View Church of Christ with Minister William Meaige and Minister Sam Dunn officiating.  Lewis will be laid to rest beside his loving wife, Karen, in Perryton Cemetery.
