Librada Esthela Feliz Ferreiro

Librada Esthela Feliz Ferreiro, 67, of Lynn, MA, passed on Saturday, August 23, 2025, in Boston, MA, after a period of illness, and with her loving family by her side.

Librada was born on January 18, 1958, in Cabral, Barahona, Dominican Republic, to her late parents Felipe Feliz Bello and Milagros Ferreiro, where she lived until emigrating to the United States in 2015. Librada was a Catholic, and attended Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Parish in Lynn, MA.

Librada is survived by her son Alfred Bismarch Genao Feliz of Dominican Republic; her daughter Estela W. Mercado Feliz of Ohio; her siblings Tamara Feliz Ferreiro, Melida Feliz Ferreiro, María Misselys Feliz, José Manuel Feliz Ferreiro, Víctor feliz Ferreiro, Gerbacio Hugo Feliz Ferreiro, Francisco Javier Feliz Ferreiro, Bethoven Feliz Ferreiro, and Felipe Feliz Ferreiro; her grand-children Dawalky Jadiel Pena, Amy Maite Genao Durán, Aaron Armando Genao Encarnacion, and Aliah Marie Genao Romero; as well her nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Felipe Feliz Bello and Milagros Ferreiro.

Librada loved to read, watch TV, and work. She was an exceptional cook, and was well-known for making her sancocho. When she was able to, Librada looked forward to her trips back to the Dominican Republic to visit with her family and friends there. She always looked forward to playing cards with them, and was never too far from a beach if she could help it. She also loved music, with her favorite song being “Nereyda” by Raulin Rodriguez.

Librada was always right at the heart of her family, and truly embodied the role of matriarch. She would often host gatherings, sometimes for no specific reason at all, just so she could have her family together, and close to her. Some of her greatest joys were being a mother, sister, cousin, auntie, and friend, but it was when she became Mama to her grandchildren that she found true joy.

Librada’s personality and her love for life were vibrant, and they truly knew no bounds. She will be so dearly missed by all who have had the joy of knowing her.

Calling Hours for Librada will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 4pm-8pm, at Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington Street, Lynn, MA. A Celebration of Librada’s life will take place with family and friends in the Dominican Republic at a later date.

Librada Esthela Feliz Ferreiro, de 67 años, de Lynn, MA, falleció el sábado 23 de agosto de 2025 en Boston, MA, después de un período de enfermedad, y con su amorosa familia a su lado.

Librada nació el 18 de enero de 1958, en Cabral, Barahona, República Dominicana, hija de sus difuntos padres Felipe Feliz Bello y Milagros Ferreiro, donde vivió hasta que emigró a los Estados Unidos en 2015. Librada era católica y asistió a misa en St. Joseph Catholic Parish en Lynn, MA.

Librada le sobrevive su hijo Alfred Bismarch Genao Feliz de la República Dominicana; su hija Estela W. Mercado Feliz de Ohio; sus hermanos Tamara Feliz Ferreiro, Melida Feliz Ferreiro, María Misselys Feliz, José Manuel Feliz Ferreiro, Víctor feliz Ferreiro, Gerbacio Hugo Feliz Ferreiro, Francisco Javier Feliz Ferreiro, Bethoven Feliz Ferreiro y Felipe Feliz Ferreiro; sus nietos Dawalky Jadiel Pena, Amy Maite Genao Durán, Aaron Armando Genao Encarnacion y Aliah Marie Genao Romero; así como sus sobrinas, sobrinos, otros familiares y amigos. Fue precedida por sus padres Felipe Feliz Bello y Milagros Ferreiro.

A Librada le encantaba la lectura, disfrutar de él televisor y amaba su trabajo. Ella fue una cocinera excepcional, y le encantaba  hacer sancocho. Cuando podia, Librada esperaba con ansias sus viajes de regreso a la República Dominicana para visitar a su familia y amigos allí. Ella siempre tenía ganas de jugar a las cartas con ellos, y nunca estaba demasiado lejos de una visita a la playa. También le encantaba la música, siendo su canción favorita "Nereyda" de Raulin Rodríguez.

Librada siempre estuvo en el corazón de su familia, y realmente encarnó el papel de matriarca. A menudo organizaba reuniones, a veces sin ninguna razón específica, solo para poder tener a su familia junta y cerca de ella. Algunas de sus mayores alegrías fueron ser madre, hermana, prima, tía y amiga, pero fue cuando se convirtió en “mamá” de sus nietos que encontró la verdadera alegría.

La personalidad de Librada y su amor por la vida eran vibrantes, y realmente no conocían límites. Todos los que han tenido la alegría de conocerla la echarán mucho de menos.

Las horas de llamadas para Librada se llevarán a cabo el viernes 29 de agosto de 2025, de 4 p. m. a 8 p. m., en Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington Street, Lynn, MA. Una celebración de la vida de Librada tendrá lugar con familiares y amigos en la República Dominicana en una fecha posterior.
