Linard Ray Hodges Jr, 55, of Park Hills, passed away October 20, 2018 at his residence in Park Hills. He was born on Tuesday August 6, 1963 in St.Louis to the late Linard and Margie (Stricklin) Hodges Sr.
Linard was a 1982 graduate of Central High School. Soon after graduation Linard took a job for the city of Park Hills working as a Heavy Equipment Operator; a position of which he held for twelve years. Linard also worked as a long distance truck driver for Delta Express trucking company distributed out of Cape Girardeau, MO and Larado, TX. Linard held a Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsements. In 1994 he met the mother of his children, Christi Weber, and in 1997 they were married in Destin Florida. In 1999 they had their first child Ashlin Marie Hodges and in 2001 a son, Anthony Charles Hodges. Linard was a loving and caring father who always very proud of his children and would speak about them given the opportunity. In his spare time Linard enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and many more outdoor activities. Along with his avid hobby of buying and selling cars Linard also enjoyed woodworking and spending time with friends, family, and his children. Linard was a loving and kind person who was a loyal friend to many. With a great sense of humor and larger-than-life personality Linard was always the life of the party and never meet a person he could not talk to.
Linard is survived by his two children, Ashlin Marie Hodges, and Anthony Charles Hodges; three sisters Carol Tullock, Janet (Jerry) Brooks, Carla Smith, Kathy (Ed) Ervin; and the mother of his children Christi Weber. Many other family members and friends also survive.
Visitation will be held at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge on Monday, October 22, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 PM and will resume on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 8:00 AM until service time of 11:00 AM at C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel.
