Linda Joyce Armey

Linda Joyce Armey went home to Heaven on Monday, February 26, 2024, at Midwestern Healthcare in Wichita Falls, Texas.  She was born on August 3, 1954, in Jacksonville, Florida to her parents Willard K. and Rosa Lee Cumbus.  She spent the majority of her life in Putnam County, Florida.  She attended Interlachen High School.  Linda was the proud mother of Melanie, Mary, Jessie, and Shawn.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard K. and Rosa Lee Cumbus, and her siblings: Wilbur O. Cumbus, Windle Cumbus, Melvin A. Cumbus, and Patricia A. Cumbus Moore.  

She is survived by her children, Melanie and husband Michael Flood of Ocala, Florida; Mary and husband Jason Reeves of Gainesville, Florida; Jessie Armey and wife Candice of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Shawn Armey of Interlachen, Florida; her grandchildren Maygan and husband Callan Bamberg, Mikalia and husband Andrew Grim; Emma, Elijah, Malachi, Lydia, and Josiah Flood, Hannah and Halle Reeves; Isaiah , Jeremiah, and Samuel Armey; Kennedy, Alyssa, Brooklyn, and Hannah Armey; and great-grandchildren Calley, Carson, and Jackson Bamberg; sisters-in-law Kathryn G. Cumbus and Jane Cumbus, and daughter-in-law Amanda Renea Armey.

Linda will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.  Her kids and her grandkids were her life’s focus.  She was a faithful believer in God and a member of Life Church in Wichita Falls, Texas. A memorial service will be held at Midwestern Healthcare at 6PM on Sunday, March 3, 2024.
