Linda's Obituary

Linda "Grandma" Barnes, 76, passed away on December 13, 2025, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

A Celebration of Life will be held on December 17, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at Kincannon Funeral Home, 3020 N Main St. Altus, Ok. 73521

Born on April 5, 1949, i n Altus, Oklahoma, she lived a life defined by resilience and devotion to family.  She was the daughter of Dillard Allen and Hattie (Lewis) White. But was lovingly raised by Dillard and Vyrtle Allen. Linda graduated from Altus High School and pursued college studies in Kentucky. Over the years, she worked in various roles, but especially enjoyed her time working at convenience stores. Later, she retired from a fulfilling career in home healthcare.

Linda was known for her headstrong spirit and unwavering love for her children and grandchildren.  Linda found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved sewing with care and precision and cherished fishing trips-especially those shared with her brother Wesley. In quieter moments, she enjoyed listening to books on her phone, finding comfort and inspiration in their stories.

Linda's legacy lives on through the generations of family who carry forward the strength and love she instilled in them. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son Gary Jones Jr.; and grandsons Ricky Jones and Aaron Runyan. And granddaughter Hanna Pinnell.

She is lovingly remembered by her siblings: Wesley Ross, Russell Allen, and Alice Ervin; her children: Rosamae Jones, Irellia Allen, Richard Jones and his wife Tracie, Shiela and her husband Harvey White, Vicole and her husband Michael Pinnell; as well as 18 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
