Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to have just heard of Linda's passing. She was a good friend to both my wife, Sue McKenney - also a teacher in both the public and Lutheran systems in Frankenmuth from 1971 to 1979 - and my self and she and Perry were the mentors, friends and inspirations that we looked to in our early years together. I know that she will be missed but that she also brought much light into the world of her family, students, acquaintances and friends both near and far, recent and distant.

Dear Perry and Family, My deepest condolences to you at the loss of your beloved Linda. She was a magnificent lady and teacher. She always displayed the love of Jesus in everything she did. May our gracious Lord continue to wrap His arms around you and give you peace as you mourn her loss. Carol Plopper

So sorry for your loss of Linda. Prayers for the whole family

My deepest condolences. Mrs. Bresemann was a wonderful teacher at Elm Grove Lutheran. In the mid 80's I would ride in her wood-paneled mini-van with her sons after swimming . Great memories in a simpler and better time. A special person.

Jon, Kari, Renner, Emmett, and Family
Thinking of your family with love and compassion. May you feel surrounded by care and support, and may memories of your Mom/Mother In Law/Grandma bring moments of comfort and peace during this time.

Our deepest sympathy to your family. We have fond memories of Mrs. B as our 6th, 7th & 8th grade teacher at Elm Grove Lutheran School along with the having Mr. B as our principal. Our class was very blessed!

I was saddened and happy for Linda. I was one of the 6 or 7 Linda s in our class of 65 at Luther South. At least 4 of us traveled on the same bus to LHS. When someone called "Linda" 4-5 heads turned. Linda n I became friends that continued on thru our years at Concordia RF .
My condolences to Perry and the family. Linda had a remarkable life. I know she will be missed. Sincerely Linda (Schmanke) Walters Class of 65 LHS

Our deepest sympathy. Linda was an amazing teacher and blessed so many children over the years. We rejoice that she is resting with Jesus and pray for peace for her family and friends.

Linda's Obituary

 Linda G. Bresemann

Frankenmuth, MI

Went home to her Lord on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at her home; age 78 years. Linda was born on August 18, 1947 in Chicago, IL to the late Howard and Melba (Houren). She married the love of her life, Perry Bresemann on July 11, 1970 in Chicago, Illinois; he survives her.

Linda attended Lutheran South School in Chicago, she attended college at Concordia Teachers College in River Forest, Illinois and Cardinal Strich College in Milwaukee, WI. She went on to teach for 35 years. She was a Teacher at Our Redeemer Lutheran School in Wauwatosa, WI. A Teacher and Assistant Principal at St. Lorenz Lutheran School in Frankenmuth, MI, and a Teacher at Elm Grove Lutheran School in Elm Grove, WI. Over her career Linda received several awards, Masters Teacher, Who’s Who, and the Golden Apple Award.

Linda enjoyed reading, knitting, traveling, spending time at the beach (especially Sanibel Island). Above all else, she cherished time with her family and friends. Her greatest joy came from her role as “Grandma”. She delighted in every moment spent with her grandchildren, celebrating their milestones, reading stories, encouraging their curiosity, and surrounding them with unconditional love. Linda was immensely proud of the wonderful parents her sons and daughter-in- laws are to her grandchildren.

Surviving besides her husband, Perry, are sons: Jon (Kari) Bresemann of Chicago, Illinois, and Brian (Stephanie) Bresemann of Orange, California; and her beloved grandchildren Renner and Emmett Bresemann of Illinois, Ellie Jo and Luke Bresemann of California.

Besides her parents Linda was preceded in death by her siblings.

Linda’s faith formed the basis of her life. She loved her Lord, and boldly and regularly shared His love with students, friends and family.

Linda loved to read and share the joy of reading with her students. The majority of her teaching career was spent teaching Literature and helping students grow their vocabulary. Linda led Bible studies in her home.

Linda was a faithful, loving and supportive wife to Perry for over 55 years.

Some of her colleagues have said that Linda was a teacher who knew how to make learning fun, and she was able to communicate with her students. She allowed students to fail so they could learn how to improve. She gave students the freedom to succeed and find confidence in their good decisions. She treated her students, colleagues and school families with respect and fairness. Linda had the ability to know every student and remember them. She went the extra mile to help her students be the best they could be.
