Linda C.'s Obituaries

Linda S. (Crowther) Tassmer, 58, of Wallingford, devoted wife and mother entered into eternal rest early Monday morning, December 4, 2017, following a brief illness.

Linda was born in New Haven, August 2, 1959, a daughter of the late Richard Crowther and Lois Alywin Crowther.  Linda was employed by the Wallingford School System as a foodservice worker for many years and always enjoyed her vacation time. 

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Thomas D. Tassmer Sr.; her son Thomas D. Tassmer Jr. and his wife Veronica M.; her daughter Stacy L. Tassmer and her partner Eric Senise; her two younger brothers James D. Crowther and his wife Nancy E. and John R. Crowther and his wife Theresa D.; along with several nieces; nephews; and cousins, whom she loved dearly.

Special thanks to her coworkers and to all involved in her care at Elim Park who helped her to make the most of her final days.

Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Thursday, December 7, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.  A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 7 p.m.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be sent to The Sister’s Project, P.O. Box 1643, Wallingford, Ct. 06492.
