I will miss you so much I cannot put it in words. Yet , you will be in heaven and I will you again. What s blessing you have been to your Mom , family , extended family and friends. God gave us a blessing and a gift for a short time. We are thankful to God. gir his Gift . Amen

I am grateful to have had Linda for my big sister. She was a great sister and I will forever cherish her. I have mixed emotions, because I’m glad she is no longer in pain and at the same time, I truly miss my big sister.

Linda Fay Davis

Linda Fay Davis, age 67 was born on December 1, 1957  departed this earthly life on Monday, November 24, 2025. She was a lifelong resident on New Orleans, LA, while briefly living in Alexandria, LA. She attended James Weldon Johnson Elementary and was a graduate of Alcee Fortier High School and Xavier University. Linda was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated. She was also a devoted member of the Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church for more than 60 years, where she served as the church secretary. Ms. Davis was a dedicated employee for the United States Department of Agriculture for over 40 years. Linda was the beloved daughter of Ruby Davis. Loving mother of James Crockett, Sr. (Jessica). Devoted sister of Lorenzo Davis, Sr. (Joyce), Samuel E. Davis (Cassandra), Albert Davis (Laura), and Tammy Davis (Lloyd). She was also survived by 9 grandchildren, Jasmine, Jordan, Tia, Jada, Kelsey, Simone, Ahmad, Grace, and James II, 12 great-grandchildren, 8 nieces and nephews, Lorenzo, Jr., Marquisha, Kimberly, Brian, Tiffany, Emmanuel, Breanna, Mia and a host of cousins, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Samuel E. Davis, her daughter Shantell M. Davis, and her aunt Burnetta C. Davis. Relatives and friends of the family, also Pastor, officers and members of New Hope B.C. and Evening Star M.B.C. are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at New Hope Baptist Church, 1807 Rev. John Raphael Jr. Way, New Orleans, LA 70113 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, 1900 Hillary Street, New Orleans, LA 70118.
