Linda's Obituary

Linda Lou Harweger, 72, of Buckley passed away at 12:25 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at Heartland Health Care Center of Paxton. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2015, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 206 E Main Street, Buckley with Rev. J. Kevin Wyckoff officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Buckley.Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Saturday at Baier Family Funeral Services, 306 E Lincoln Street, Buckley and Sunday one hour before the funeral service at St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley.Linda was born June 23, 1942 in Watseka the daughter of Chan and Patricia Loraine Peterson Bleich. She was the loving wife of Jerry Harweger. They were married September 10, 1960 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley. He survives.Along with her husband, Jerry, she is survived by three sons, Todd (Stacy) Harweger of Buckley, Tal Harweger of Buckley, Ty (Gail) Harweger of Seymour, IN; four grandchildren, Nicolas, Jerica, Jack and Savannah; two step grandchildren, Ryan and Whitney; one great grandson and two step great grandchildren; a brother, Larry (Pat) Eyre of Paxton; a sister, Connie Eyre of Virginia Bach, VA and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her father, mother and step-father, Lloyd Eyre and a granddaughter, Mikelle.Linda graduated from Buckley-Loda High School in 1960. She worked as a waitress for many years which included 25 years at the Lakeview Country Club, Loda. She also worked at Laybourn's Apparel Shop in Paxton for several years before joining her husband in retirement.She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley where she regularly attended Bible Study and Religious classes. Linda enjoyed people and participating in community and social events. She also loved family trips and weekend get-aways with her husband.The family would like to thank the staff of Heartland Health Care Center of Paxton for their compassionate care and support.
