Not sure what to say?

Linda befriended me at the beginning of third grade when I was a new kid at school, and we became best friends. Then her family moved to Colorado following IBM and we lost touch for a while, but stayed close friends for all these years. She was a sister to me and I love her dearly.

Heartfelt Condolences Arrangement- BASKET INCLUDED

My Sympathies to Linda's family. Kirk and I worked with Linda at Home Depot and as busy as she was, she always took a minute to ask how I was. She was a great coworker and will be greatly missed.

I'm so sorry to hear that your Mom passed away. I remember coming over to your house and your mom was always smiling and laughing. Sending hugs and prayers

I’m so sorry to hear about Linda’s passing. I worked with her at Home Depot. Yes she was always that spunky lady. I really enjoyed working with her. Rest in Heaven Linda. My prayers and condolences to her family.

Linda's Obituary

Linda Kay Horger, age 67, of Sioux Falls, SD, passed away on February 10, 2026.

Born on April 8, 1958, in Winchester, KY, to James P. and Anna (Moore) Caudill, Linda's Journey eventually took her to Colorado, where she graduated from Longmont High School in 1976. She met Gerard Horger working at MiniScribe in Longmont, Colorado. They were married July 17", 1987 at Old Mill Park in Longmont Colorado.

Linda has worked at several places here in Sioux Falls. She started her career at Best Buy for 5 years then Home Depot 15 years as head cashier and then JC Penny's. She even had time for hobbies like cross stitching, Knitting and camping. One of our favorite spots to camp was in Door Count, Wisconsin, South Dakota and surrounding states. She even made it out as far as New Salem State Park in Illinois.

Linda was a force of nature, known by all for her boundless stamina and "downright grit." Whether in her professional career or her personal hobbies, she lived life with her "foot on the button," always moving at a hundred miles an hour. Her incredible ability to connect with people and co-workers made her a mainstay in every community she touched, though most found it hard to simply keep up with her tireless energy.

She is deeply missed and survived by her devoted husband, Gerard Horger, and her children: daughters Jennifer (Kent) Eldridge, Katherine (Brian) Wilson, Vanessa (Trevor) Jensen, and her son Juan (Terra) Banuelos and her grandchildren Kiley and Abby Eldridge, Quientin (Shine) Wilson, Brianna Wilson, Makson and Kruz Banuelos. Her sisters Paula (Rich) Abney, Lisa (Jim)Ellis, and brother James (Jackie) Caudill. And many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents James and Anna Caudill and her sister Sandy (AL) Rink.
