Linda's Obituary

Linda Annette Weber, 77, passed away on November 25, 2025, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Linda was born on January 28, 1948 in Wichita Falls. 

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 1, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church with inurnment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Wichita Falls. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls.

Linda was known for her generous and outgoing nature. She devoted her life to serving her community through various public service roles.

After completing her education at Midwestern State University, Linda pursued a significant career as a Daycare Licensing Specialist for the Texas Department of Human Resources. Her dedication to the well-being of others was evident in her involvement on the Board of Directors at the Wichita Falls Mental Health Association. Linda was a co-founder of First Step Inc. in Wichita Falls and served as Services Administrator Director. She also held the position of Vice President at the Wichita Falls Chapter of the Texas Public Employee Association. Linda was a strong advocate for women's rights and participated in the Equal Rights for Women March in Washington, D.C.

Linda also had a keen interest in and supported the Native American culture. She attended several pow-wows and contributed to the National Museum of the American Indian, and also contributed to various Indian schools.

Her deep love for the outdoors was evident in her enjoyment of camping, sailing, and horseback riding. An enthusiastic traveler, she explored nearly every state in the Union and Europe. Linda cherished the opportunity to discover new places.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, William F. Weber and Lois Mae Holder. 

She is survived by her siblings, Lois Sue Shine (Dan), William Robert Weber (Wanda), and Mary Elizabeth Yates (John), as well as several nieces and a nephew.

Linda's life and contributions will be warmly remembered.
