Not sure what to say?

I was lois's shower gal and she was a great person and always made me laugh and always kept me on my ties as well as loved everyone and loved life and had some amazing stories of her life. I will forever remember her and the fun we all had.

What a dear sweet lady. I will always re ember her winning smile and pretty blue eyes and pleasant disposition. I was one of her caregivers at symphony. We would always say "See you later alligator" and she would reply "After a while crocodile " Her family would visit her almost every day and we're a blessing to know also. I pray for their comfort and peace which I know is theirs through our Lord. I will see you again someday my dear sweet Lois! Love you!❤

Dear Ramona, Pastor Phil, and entire family: We were saddened to hear of your mom and grandma's passing. She was obviously a special woman and strong Christian, who helped to shape your lives over the years. May you find peace in knowing that one day you will be reunited with her, and until then she rests in our Lord and Savior's loving arms.

Dear Ramona and Phil,
I was sorry to read of your loss. Some of the thoughts in her obituary. Reminded me of Viola; loving ice cream and playing Euchre especially.
I pray you are comforted by the promise of eternity and that she now walks with Jesus.
Hugs to you all!

Lois was a treasure at McClellan Properties. Her organizing skills, work ethic, love of fudge, fairness, and family are something to be admired everyday still. We say, "How would Lois do it?" even to this day. Love you, Lois!
Carol & Zak

worked with Lois for many years and was proud to have her by my side. She was a loyal, honest, sincere person. I know that she is in heaven with her family by her side.

Lois's Obituary

 Lois Bergdolt

Bay City, MI

Lois Bergdolt fell asleep in Jesus on January 11, 2026, at the age of 94 years.

Lois was born on August 7, 1931, in Vassar, Michigan, to Walter and Delia (Miller) Keinath. Not even ten days later—on August 16—God wasted no time claiming her in Holy Baptism at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Richville.

Lois grew up on the family farm learning to drive a tractor, gather eggs from the chicken coop and ice skate.  She loved her family and treasured that farm girl experience especially as she got to share it with her siblings, Waldemar and Carol.  Lois attended St. Michael’s Lutheran Day School, and she confirmed the faith Jesus gave to her in baptism on April 2, 1944.

On July 25, 1954, Lois married Raymond Bergdolt, beginning a marriage marked by steady love and faithfulness. Together they raised three daughters—Katherine, Mary, and Ramona.  As Raymond served as a Lutheran school teacher, the family resided in Woodburn, Indiana and St. John’s, Michigan before returning to Frankenmuth. Lois was a hard worker and loved to keep busy mowing the lawn, gardening, cleaning, canning, baking, knitting, crocheting and quilting.  When they returned to Frankenmuth Lois worked for McLellan Properties for over 30 years serving in many different roles.  You can see her face alongside Gary on a mural on the side of the Frankenmuth Fudge Kitchen.

Lois loved cats, ice cream and Christmas trees and when you visited her you could be sure there were plenty of each.  She loved having the family come home and gather around the dinner table enjoying a meal she lovingly prepared followed by lots of ice cream and a little euchre. Lois and Raymond enjoyed many Sunday evenings horseback riding in Frankenmuth.

Survivors include her daughter, Ramona and her husband, Phillip Baerwolf.  She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Devan and her husband Sean McCarroll; her grandson James and his wife Holly Johnson and her great grandchildren, Harrison, Anderson and MacKenzi McCarroll and Alina, Raymond and Daniel Johnson.  Lois is also survived by her brother-in-law, Wilmar (Joan) Bergdolt, two sisters-in-law, Carol Bergdolt and Bonnie Bergdolt, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond and two daughters, Katherine and Mary; her siblings, Amanda Mae, Arnold, Waldemar and Carol along with many beloved brothers and sisters-in-law.  The family thanks the staff at Symphony Tri-Cities and the AdvisaCare hospice team for their kindness in caring for Lois.

Lois now rests in Christ’s promises—the same promises given to her in Baptism and confessed at her confirmation. She awaits the resurrection, when all God’s children are welcomed home to heaven to live with Jesus forever.

Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola, Frankenmuth, Michigan. Rev. William Hoesman will officiate. Burial to take place in St. Lorenz Cemetery. Lois’ family will receive visitors at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Mission Fund or Zion Lutheran Church of Bay City.
