Lois's Obituary

Lois Jean Cook, 89, of Wichita Falls passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025.

Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at Compassion Church 2014 Kemp Blvd, Wichita Falls, Texas with Paston John Leggett, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

Lois was born on May 26, 1936 to the late Henry Lee and Pearly Mae (Graham) Underwood in Ennis Texas. After growing up in Ennis, the family moved to Wichita Falls. While at a movie theater she met the love of her life, James Edward Cook. The couple married in 1953 and spent many wonderful years together before his passing in 1980. Lois enjoyed working next to her husband and family restoring homes and vintage cars. She was a member of Compassion Church and took a very active part there. Lois was a seamstress, great cook and just a loving mother, and grandmother. Lois loved her family and giving them all gifts gave her so much pleasure. Her two dogs, Rosco and Djillie would give her comfort when nobody was able to be around. Lois will truly be missed by many family and friends.

Along with her parents and husband, Lois was preceded in death by three siblings, Dorothy Jones, Claudia Manning and Jerald Underwood; and son-in-law, Richard Felts.

She is survived by her three children, Daniel Edward Cook and wife, Myrna, Linda Sue Felts and Greg Lee Cook; 6 grandchildren, Joseph Felts and wife, Laurie, Danielle Schrieber and husband, A.J., Michael Felts and wife, Kristen, Mark Felts and wife, Julie, Nathaniel Cook and wife, Jessica, and Rebecca Dosch; fourteen great-grandchildren; sister, Pasty Berneking and husband, David; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Condolences may be sent to the family at www.owensandbrumley.com
