Lois was a spiritual inspiration to me. Her faithfulness and service to God set an example to be followed by others. She never looked for praise or acknowledgement, but rather quietly and efficiently filled in what was needed and always had a warm smile and a bit of mischief when required. Lois V. Sahl, 93, of Tempe, AZ passed away May 14, 2022 in Tempe. Lois was born to Ira and Hilda Miller in Ada, Minnesota, where she grew up. She met and married Wallace Sahl in 1949 and the couple went on to raise five children. They moved around between several states before settling down in Tempe, AZ in 1979. Lois was a devoted homemaker and was very active in church activities.
Lois is survived by her daughter, Cleone (Dan) Maines; son, Glenn (Debra) Sahl; son, Keith Sahl; son, Norman (Suzanne) Sahl; grandchildren, Chatham Sahl-Curry, Blaise Sahl-Curry, Damian Sahl-Curry, Erik Sahl, Mark Sahl, Darlene Sahl, and Callie Sahl; great-grandchildren, Leah Sahl, Brooke Sahl, Jack Sahl, Jadyn Dumond, Harlan Curry, Loretta Curry, and Ida Curry.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Wallace “Wally” Sahl and her son, Nathan Sahl.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at King of Glory Lutheran Church, 2085 E Southern Ave, Tempe, AZ 85282.
