Attica - Lois JoAnn (Markley) Taylor, 87, passed away quietly at her residence in Autumn Trace, Attica, on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 8:25 a.m.    JoAnn was born at home near Stewart, in Warren County, Indiana on March 3, 1938.  She was the daughter of the late William H. and Pauline (Perkins) Markley.  JoAnn has lived most of her life in Warren County, graduating from Williamsport High School in 1956.  She has resided near Kramer since 1963.  She recently moved to Autumn Trace in January of 2022.    JoAnn formerly worked as a cook at Seeger Memorial School.  She later worked as a CNA at Woodland Manor and Williamsport Nursing Centers.    JoAnn was a member of the Eagles Lodge # 2596 of Attica.  She enjoyed being a farm wife and raising her family.  She enjoyed the time spent with her family, especially the time at Disney World with her family.  She was a lover of Mickey Mouse memorabilia.    On May 11, 1963, JoAnn married Raymond Junior Taylor in Pence, IN.  Raymond preceded her in death on May 17, 2017.    JoAnn leaves behind her two sons, William “Bill” (Holly) Taylor and John (Kaye) Taylor, both of Attica; three grandchildren, Bill Taylor, Tim (Jennifer) Taylor and Matthew (Kayla) Taylor, all of Attica; eight great-grandchildren, Matthew, Hannah, Addison, Jocelyn, William, Isaac and twins Elijah & Alexis Taylor.  She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Dean Taylor; her brothers, Robert & William “Bud” Markley; a great-granddaughter, Gracie Taylor.    Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Thursday, October 16th, from 12:00 p.m. until the service time at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Badgley officiating.  Burial will follow in the Boswell Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made Elara Caring Hospice, 958 Mezzanine Drive, Lafayette, IN   47905 or online at elaracaringhospicefoundation.org/.
