Lola Fox

Lola Mildred Fox, age 89, of Dayton, OH, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at Bethany Village in Dayton.

Lola was born on November 12, 1935 in Cains Store, KY to the late William Marion Minton and Lola Harness Minton.  She was a great mother and always placed the needs of her kids ahead of her own.  She worked hard, at home and at General Motors in Anderson, Indiana.  She retired from GM and her and Leo returned to Somerset where they lived for 25 years.  They had been married for over 60 years.  She moved to Bethany Village in Dayton, Ohio where she met a lot of new friends.  They helped her get involved in the community and supported each other in everything.  She enjoyed the many activities there and she had a great social life until her health failed.  Lola believed in God and was looking forward to her reunion with Leo and other family members who had passed away. 

She is survived by her loving children, Randy Fox of Chamblee, GA and Darrell Fox of Dayton, OH; four grandchildren, Nicholas Fox, Rachel Fox-Jimenez, James Fox and Elizabeth Fox; three great grandchildren, Fia Jean Fox, Lenora May Fox and Callum Michael Fox; one sister, Lois Ann Minton; and other family members and friends who are saddened by her passing.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Franklin Fox; one brother, Verl Minton; and three sisters, Ruby Patterson, Josephine Brown and Fern Walters.

Visitation will be on Friday, October 10, 2025 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

Her funeral service will follow on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 1:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Clark officiating.  Burial will be at Mill Springs National Cemetery.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital in memory of Lola Fox.
