Barbara, we are cousins, I met you at a Jackson reunion, my grandfather was William "Bunny" Jackson. Peggy told me of your lose, was sad to hear it, thoughts and prayers for you and family.

Loren's Obituary

A resident of Denham Springs passed away at 10:30 AM on Friday, May 19, 2017 at Harvest Manor Nursing Home in Denham Springs. He was born May 25, 1917 in Bentonville, AR and was 99 years of age. He was an U. S. Army Veteran of World War II and served in Iceland. He was the sweetest, kindest man and best father a daughter could have. He is now resting in the arms of Jesus, his Savior. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara B. Aven; brother, Joe Buttry; sister in law, Katherine Buttry and numerous nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by his wife, Barbara J. Buttry; parents, Loren and Eva Bowen Buttry; brothers,  J.D. and Charles Buttry and  his son in law, Ron Aven. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 11 AM until religious services at 1 PM Monday, May 22, 2017. Interment Pine Ridge Cemetery, Kentwood.
