Loretta's Obituary

Loretta “Dee” Ann Roberts Jones, 72, of Blue Ridge, Va. died Wednesday, August 22, 2018. She was born December 4, 1945 in Covington, VA. and was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Talman Roberts and Mary Elizabeth Newcomer Roberts; her sister, Nancy R. (Wayne) Fitzgerald; father-in-law, Willie(Bill) Jones, and brother-in-law, Tommy Jones.

She retired from Botetourt Co. School system with 28 years of service.

Surviving is her husband of 46 years, Gerald Michael Jones; mother-in-law, Dorothy Virginia Jones; two daughters, Kimberlee J. Knowles, Jaime J. (Lamille) Jossirin; grandchildren, Jordyne N. Hargrove, Donia C. Lawton,  Akee J. Hill,  Jamilla C. Jossirin, Jaleeza L. Jossirin, Lamya B. Jossirin and Kamille R. York; sisters, Catherine Jean Beard and Dorothy(Randy) R. Miller; brothers, Larry T. (Debbie) Roberts and Richard E. Roberts; brother-in-laws, David(Becky) Jones and Ronnie Jones; and several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Brenda, Bev, Sharon, John, Cathy, Easy, Connie, Linda, Boley, and Donna Jacobs.

A special thanks to Rev. Jack Chisom for his care and comfort and also to the staff at Blue Ridge Cancer Center, Carilion (RMH) 10th Floor Oncology and Carilion Hospice for the special care she received there.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date per her request.
