Loretta Mae White

Loretta Mae White, 82, of Spencer, died Sunday, March 8, 2026, at home.

She was born April 27, 1943, at Walton, the daughter of the late Oral and Goldie Moore Taylor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Reva Harper; brother, Oral Taylor; great granddaughter, Payton Leach.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, David White, Sr. of Spencer; children, David (Anita) White, Jr. of Walton, Robin (Jerry) Shafer of Sissonville and Tracey (Jesse) Leach of Spencer; grandchildren, Jay (Tonya) Shafer of Whitesville, David White, III of Walton, Josh (Mandy) White of Walton, Alisha (Richard) Conley of Spencer, Amanda Elmore of Spencer, Shane (Chassitty) Shafer of Sissonville, Derek (April) Leach of Spencer and Heather (Matt) Queen of Clendenin; 20 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; sister, Mary (Jr.) Patrick of Oak Hill, Ohio.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2026, at John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with Jonathan Harper officiating. Burial will be in James Albert Moore Cemetery, Walton, WV.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
