Not sure what to say?

Your smile lit up even the darkest of rooms. I met your family around 2016 or so when I helped you with your taxes. I met many families over the years but there was something special with you and your family. You always were soo proud of your family and i loved heard how life was going. I hope your flying high with your loving husband as u talked very highly of the bond you shared with him. You will be missed by many.

We were so sorry to hear of your family's loss. Lori was a close friend to my sister, Karol, through high school and after. My whole family loved to have her visit, and her beautiful smile lingered after she left.
Kind and compassionate, Lori put others first. She truly was a lovely person and will remain so in our memories.
With sympathy and affection,
Kezia and Steve Sullivan and the Haynes family

Hi, my husband Tim and I were High School classmates of Lori. We both have fond memories of her, in particular she was always a happy, bright person. It is apparent that those characteristics continued on during her lifetime, we are sad that she has passed but glad that we got to know her. All our best to her family at this difficult time.

So sorry for your loss Christopher and family. My deepest condolences.

My deepest condolences to the family. Kevin is waiting for you in Heaven.

We knew Lori from a young girl as our families had many meals and times together. Her dad Bill and my husband Jim were Troopers stationed together. We kept in touch in later years thru FB and visits with her parents. She was a wonderful daughter and all around person. She loved Christmas and making goodies. She is now with her her love Kevin. She will be missed,

I'm so sorry to hear of Lori's passing. We went to school together and I used to see her during my Samaritan Medical Center years. Unfortunately our 40th class reunion had to be canceled due to COVID so I haven't seen her since our 30th. My sincere condolences to Lori's parents, children, Sim and Missy. Lori was always a sweetheart and will be missed by many. ❤

Lori's Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lori Schenk, who left this world peacefully on August 8th 2025, surrounded by family and love.

Born on October 7th 1962, Lori dedicated her life to caring for others, both personally and professionally. With over 30 years of service in healthcare, she was known not only for her skill and compassion but also for the warmth she brought into everyone's life. Her coworkers became extended family, and her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched throughout her career.

Lori was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kevin, who passed away in 2017. Together, they built a beautiful life full of love, laughter, and family. She is survived by her two sons, Michael and Christopher Schenk, her daughter-in-law Mary Schenk, and her son-in-law Rene De Leon. She was a devoted and proud grandmother to three cherished grandchildren, Zoey, Noah and Luke, whose photos she shared with joy and stories she told often.  She is also survived by her loving brother Simeon and sister-in-law Melissa Weekes, as well as her parents, William and Loretta Weekes, who continued to be pillars of strength and love in her life.

While Lori lived a life of service and care, her happiest moments came during quiet afternoons with her grandchildren and long summer days floating peacefully in the pool. Her laugh carried over the water, and her joy in those simple pleasures was contagious.  She will be remembered for her selflessness, her humor, her unwavering strength, and the fierce love she gave so freely to her family. Her presence was a gift, and her absence leaves a hole that can never be filled.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 14th at Reed & Benoit Funeral Home in Watertown from 4:00pm - 6:00pm, followed by a short service at 6:00pm, where friends, family and loved ones are invited to come.  Flowers can be sent to the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home for the service on August 14th.

She was our mom, our grandmother, our sister, our daughter, and our friend—and we will carry her in our hearts always.
