Rainy I am so very sad to lose you. You were ready but our hearts were not. Prayers and hugs to Milt Joe Hollie and Milton. Chris, Zack, Nick and Cierra. I love you all so much.

Rainy, I have such fond memories of you in our younger years. From your Mom baby sitting us, riding in the car with your Dad, the countless hours at your Grandma's place. When we were little, I always thought of you as family. My heartfelt sympathy to all of Rainy's family.

Lorraine's Obituary

WATERTOWN, NY – Lorraine L. Combs, 61, of Dartmouth Street, passed away on February 7, 2026 at Samaritan Medical Center.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026 from 11-1 pm at Reed & Benoit Funeral Home. A memorial service will immediately follow at 1 pm at the funeral home. There will be a gathering at the Watertown American Legion Post 61 to follow.

Lorraine was born on April 8, 1964 in Watertown, the daughter of Joseph Rogers and Susie Calhoun. She attended South Jefferson and Watertown schools. Later, she worked in housekeeping for the Puccia family, and later in Food Service for Samaritan Keep Home where she eventually retired due to illness.

On April 26, 1980 she married Milton Combs.

Lorraine loved spending time at the racetrack cheering on her sons as they raced, often followed by camping out once the races were over. She also enjoyed crocheting.

Survivors include her husband of over 45 years, Milton Combs; her children, Joe Combs, Hollie (Chris) Hoover, and Milton Combs, all of Watertown; three grandchildren, Zack, Nick, and Cierra Hoover; her mother, Susie Calhoun of Watertown; siblings, Dee Rogers of Adams Center, Avis Gilmore of Watertown, Michael Rogers of Watertown, and Kurrine Boone of Carthage; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Lorraine was predeceased by her father, Joseph Rogers, and a daughter, Misty Combs who died in 1984.
