Louis was the best mechanic in all of Tiverton. I purchased some old cars from his garage back in the 1960's and I still own them today. R.I.P. My good friend!

Louis J. "Snookie" LaTulippe Jr., 86, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025, in Dover, New Hampshire.
Born on January 8, 1939, in Fall River, Massachusetts, Louis lived a life marked by dedication to his family, service to his country, and a deep passion for mechanics and classic automobiles. He proudly served in the United States Army for two years and continued his commitment to service with eleven additional years in the National Guard.
A skilled mechanic, Louis continued to operate his father's auto service station, which existed for close to 100 years on Main Road in Tiverton RI. His love for engines extended beyond work. He was an enthusiastic member of the Down Shifters Antique Car Club and also participated in The Bristol County Snowriders club. These communities brought him great joy and camaraderie throughout the years.
Louis’s faith was a guiding force in his life. A devoted Catholic, he began his spiritual journey as an altar boy at St. Louis de France Church and remained committed to his beliefs throughout his life.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jennie LaTulippe; his son, Louis J. LaTulippe III; daughters Lynn LaTulippe and Lori Morrell and her husband Dennis Morrell; and four cherished grandchildren: Louis J. LaTulippe IV, Lauren LaTulippe, Adam Morrell, and Ashley Morrell.
Louis will be remembered for the strength of his character, the depth of his devotion to those he loved, and the legacy he leaves behind through both family and community.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him. A Funeral Mass will be held on July 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Louis Defrance Church 56 Buffington St. viewing at Boule Funeral Home Tuesday July 29, 2025, from 9 am to 10 am. Following this will be the funeral mass at St. Louis Defrance church.
