You all have my sincere condolences during this challenging time. I had the pleasure of working with Lou at the Department of Veterans Affairs. From the first day I met him he was kind, he was helpful, and he was such a great worker. He brought so much knowledge to the team but he also brought a sense of calmness and comfort. Those who have met him will know exactly what I mean when I say that. Know that you are all in my prayers. He will truly be missed. Rest well Lou!

We shared a love of the outdoors and a fondness for animals. As a strong advocate for veterans, Lou served his nation proudly both in and out of uniform. He will be missed.

He was a wonderful person with a kind heart and I feel grateful to have known him in Naples and spent with him such a beautiful time. Lou was a wonderful person, always with a smile on, always kind with friends and family.
