LOUIS's Obituaries

Louis Temperine, 93, of Ashley, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014, in Little Flower Manor, Wilkes-Barre.Born in Hanover Township, he was the son of the late Louis and Bridget Cusick Temperine and was a graduate of Hanover High School. Louis served in the United States Army during World War II and was the recipient of the World War II Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three Bronze Stars. He was employed as a Breaker Repair Technician at the Huber Breaker, Ashley and was a member of St. Leo's/Holy Rosary Church, Ashley.Louis was preceded in death by his wife, the former Audrey Maheady, brother Donald Temperine and sister, Mary Gallagher.He is survived by daughter, Elaine Roche and her husband, John, Plymouth; sons, Thomas Temperine, Ashley; Scott Temperine and his wife, Lisa, Hanover Township; grandchildren, Timothy, Sean, Bridget, Nadalie, Damian, Justin, Jayce, great grandchildren, Sage, River, Josie, Chase and Cannon. Lou was a very humble man and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at 9:00 am from the Lehman Family Funeral Service, Inc. 689 Hazle Ave. Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Leo's/Holy Rosary Parish, 33 Manhattan Street, Wilkes-Barre. Reverend Vincent Dang will officiate.Interment will follow, with Military Honors, in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.Friends may call, Tuesday, November 4, 2014, from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home.Louis's family would like to thank all the staff at Little Flower Manor, Commonwealth Home Health and Hospice of Wilkes-Barre.
