Louise Chick

She will be missed.

As a student in DCPS (Jefferson JHS) Back in the mid 90's I know we were a handful! I can't really describe how Ms. Chick was able to positively impact so many in her time there! Rest easy!

I was a student at Jefferson and remember Mrs. Chick. She was deeply invested in ensuring that we all had a safe and good learning environment at school. She was kind but firm, and that was exactly what a bunch of inner city middle schoolers needed.

Rest easy, your memory lives on.

Aunt Chick was my school auntie before I even knew she was really family. Later on, we found out we were family through other family members — and it just made everything make sense.
I’ll always remember her yelling at me to get out of the halls and go to class but also showing up to softball games and practices like clockwork.
She was always there — at school events, supporting, loving, and watching over us in her own way.
