Lucia L. (Regonini) Johnston died on December 26, 2025, at Life Care Center of Leominster, after an illness. Her husband of 26 years, Ronald E. Johnston, died in 2014. She leaves three sons, Michael (Donna) Sanders, of Clinton, MA, William Sanders of Greensboro Bend, VT, David (Amanda) Sanders of Portsmouth, RI, and one daughter, Karen A. (Steven) Dellasanta of Little Compton, RI; two brothers, James M. Regonini and John P. Regonini, both of Clinton, MA, and two sisters, Jean A. Lamlein of Clinton, MA, and Joan M. Regonini of Shrewsbury, MA; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers Louis E. Regonini and Peter L. Regonini, and her sister, Marilyn C. Morgan.
Lucia was born in Clinton in 1937, daughter of Gemma A. and Louis N. Regonini. Lucia was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, and was a graduate of Clinton High School, Class of 1955. Lucia lived and raised her family in Sterling for nearly 50 years before returning to Clinton.
A Calling hour will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026 from 9:30 until 10:30AM at the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church Street, Clinton, MA, with a Mass of Christian Burial immediately following in St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union Street, Clinton MA. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Lancaster, MA. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the ARC of Opportunity, 564 Main St., Fitchburg, MA, 01420.
