Lucile's Obituary

With marked sadness, we announce the passing of Lucile B. Harrison (nee Brady). Lucile passed quietly at home on Sunday, February 1, 2026. In death, as in life, Lucile never wanted to burden others and left us peacefully while resting in her favorite recliner. She was 92.

Lucile was born Wilma Lucile Brady on December 27, 1933 to parents Louis J. and Nellie Brady (nee Casey) in Aurora, Indiana. She never cared for her first name, and growing up went by the nickname "Billie". Later in life she preferred her middle name Lucile, but remained "Billie" to her sister (Dorothy Lee Nichols), parents, and childhood friends and acquaintances.

Lucile graduated from Aurora High School in 1951 and moved to Cincinnati where she took up residence at the Anna Louise Inn while attending the Miller School of Business. Upon graduation, she accepted a position as a legal secretary at the prestigious Kyte, Conlon, Heekin, and Wulsin law firm in downtown Cincinnati.

Lucile moved from the Anna Louise Inn to a second floor apartment in a four family unit in the Bond Hill neighborhood of Cincinnati. It was there she met her future husband, Herman A. Harrison, who had taken residence in a first floor apartment of the same unit. They were married on August 20,1955 and remained life partners for more than 70 years. Herman described Lucile as the first real girlfriend he ever had, and the best wife a man could ever desire.

Lucile gave birth to a son, Herman Louis Harrison on June 10, 1967 and transitioned from legal secretary to homemaker. She was an active and devoted Mother. A role she would repeat later in life when she became a grandmother. She passed along her life long love of learning, integrity, and a strong work ethic.

Away from her central role as family matriarch, Lucile loved animals, and over the years owned championship cutting and reigning horses, a bird, a goat, a donkey, fish, cats and dogs. She enjoyed bowling, shooting, and later in life golf. As much as she enjoyed these activities, it was the social aspect of each that brought her the most joy.

Lucile leaves behind her husband, Herman A. Harrison, son, Herman L. Harrison, daughter in-law, Debby Seim Harrison, and grandchildren Rae Anne Henline, Casey Harrison and Alex Harrison.

Visitation for Lucile will be held Monday, February 9th from 5:00 to 7:00PM at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home 5527 Cheviot Road, Cincinnati, OH 45247.

In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to the Bone Health and Osteoporosis Foundation, the Cure Alzheimer's Fund, or Ducks Unlimited.

Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
