Luz's Obituary

Luz Margarita Cruz 65 of Lorain, died peacefully in the arms of her husband in their home on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Luz was born on September 25, 1960, in Humacao, Puerto Rico, to Ismael and Paula Cruz.

Luz is survived by her husband Ramon who was her partner in life for over 38 years; daughters, Luz Margarita Cruz of Philadelphia and Tiffany Centeno of Lorain; grandchildren, Gregery Jr., Joel, Angelluis, Dy’Andre, Anthony, Davonte, Aneisa, Eljah, Neshialee; great-grandchildren, Liam, Valentina, Hector, Keyden, Evanna. And a sister, Emma Vazquez, of New Jersey, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Other than her parents Lus was preceded in death by her brothers, Ismael Cruz Jr, Angel Luis Cruz and her grandson, Elijah Centeno.

Luz was known for her love for her family. Luz built strong values and traditions that can be carried down to generations. She had a bright and energetic personality and was known for her ability to sense when people needed her help. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life. Besides spending time with family and friends, Luz had a passion for cooking, baking, and doing crafts.

Her family will receive friends at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st, South Lorain, Ohio 44055, Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 11am, until funeral service at 1pm. Rev. Father Alex Spenik, pastor of Sacred Hearth Chaple, Lorain will officiate.
