Lydia S. Vejar was born March 21, 1940 in Ozona, TX. She passed away at home on February 14, 2022 at the age of 81.
She was loved by many especially her kids. She loved listening to Elvis, playing games, making memories with her grand kids and great grand kids. She loved telling stories of when she was little. She was funny, loving and had a beautiful heart of gold. Her family was everything to her; she always made sure that we were all ok even when she wasn’t. She loved spending time with her family. She worked as a care-giver, anyone she worked with just loved her. She was welcomed into heaven by her parents Guadalupe Lombrana and Jesus Salazar also her husband Juan Vejar and one son Richard Horton.
Lydia is survived by her living children; two sons and five daughters: Sammy Correa & Cynthia Reyes from Big Spring Texas, Trinidad Salazar, Rebecca Salazar, Lydia Torres, JoAnn Torres and Debra Torres all of Midland Texas; Three son-n-laws, Rufino Munoz Jr, Greg Acosta and Will Vegara; and 27 grandchildren, 47 great grand children and lots of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Viewing will be at Heavenly Gate Funeral Home & Chapel on Saturday February 19, 2022 from 5pm-9pm and Sunday February 20, 2022 from 10am to 9pm with a prayer service Sunday evening at 7pm by Brother Rufino Munoz Jr. A funeral service is set for Monday, February 21st at 2:00pm at Heavenly Gate chapel. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Pallbearers for the service will be Michael Lopez, Joseph Miller, Ezekiel Guzman, Isaac Guzman, Greg Acosta, Gaspar Sanchez, Jayden Guzman and Albert Sanchez.
