All was okay in the neighborhood if I could look up the hill and see Lyle working on one of his many projects. He would see me from his house struggling with something I was doing and he was immediately there on his golf cart to help. He saw my family and i sledding and carved out a nice area for us. He and my daughter and I had huge dreamy plans to make a sled luge through our properties. He was just like that. He was all about having a good time and helping others with knowledge and humor,...

So sad to hear of Lyle's passing. He always made me smile. I'm sure he and Jim are getting into some shenanigans up in heaven. Rest in peace. He was a good man for sure.

It is with heavy hearts & deep sadness that we remember Lyle James Heeg, who passed peacefully at home on February 16, 2025, at the age of 67. Lyle James Heeg was born on February 14th, 1958, in Howell, MI to Doug & Mary Heeg. He was a sheet metal worker from 9 to 5 and in his spare time Lyle always knew how to have fun. From spending time on the water at Lake Isabella with his family and friends to enjoy weekends snowmobiling and riding ATV’s. In 2000 Lyle took his family on a short hayride from his parents’ home. That hayride became a treasured 25-year family tradition, which includes siblings, cousins, & family friends. In 2011 he retired to Luzerne, MI his own little piece of heaven. After retirement, he spent his time living life, enjoying his family, snowmobiles, and a good Budweiser. Lyle was always the life of the party. He worked hard and played just as hard. He is part of the AuSable Valley Engine & Tractor Club & an active member of his community, supporting local festivities. He is leaving an empty spot in many hearts. He is survived by His Siblings Mike (Theresa) Heeg, Marie (Dave) Lewis, David (Dawn) Heeg, Duane Heeg & Linda (Robert) Hand, His Daughters Dana (Rick) Hart & Lisa (Tim) Graham, His sons Jamie Heeg & Aaron (Courtney) Heeg. His Grandchildren Dakota (Hunter), Bailey, Alex, Maranda, Madelynn & Kayden & many Nieces & Nephews. He was preceded in death by His mother and Father, Doug & Mary Heeg.
