Lyle Thomas Storlie, aged 77, a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025. Born on April 30, 1948, in Minneapolis, MN, Lyle lived a life marked by love, fellowship, music, and the simple pleasures of family moments.
Raised in the Lutheran faith, Lyle's values and beliefs guided him throughout his life, providing comfort and purpose. His gentle spirit and generous heart were reflections of the values he held dear, and his legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to inspire those who knew him.
Lyle's passion for music was evident in the way he skillfully played the guitar, drums, and piano, and sang in various praise teams throughout his life. Lyle was an avid basketball player in high school and college. He enjoyed the camaraderie of the game and coaching in his later years.
Lyle's greatest pride and joy were his daughters, Amanda "Mandy" Gallegos (Jesse), Holly Storlie, and Sarah Deslauriers. He was a devoted father who instilled in his children the importance of faith and community. His love for his daughters was only surpassed by the adoration he had for his grandchildren—Dean, Rachel (Seth), and Anne-Marie. He cherished every moment spent with them and took great delight in their accomplishments and adventures. Lyle is also survived by his loving sister, Carolyn Storlie, as well as his nieces and nephews and their children.
Lyle’s daughters invite you to join them for his Celebration of Life, being held November 1st, 11 am, at Faith Lutheran Sebring, followed by a luncheon.
