Heartfelt condolences to all. Lynn was always nice in high school & then just a few years ago always looked for my cashier line in Apples supermarket, to chat & say Hi. May she rest in peace, prayers for all.

Lynn was one of the first people we met when we came to Lorain. She was so welcoming, friendly and helpful. We looked forward to seeing her every week. She will be greatly missed. Thoughts and prayers for her family.

Lynn enriched my life beyond measure. She was truly an authentic person which is so rare and such a gift. If I had to describe Lynn in one word it would be “ Love.”
Blessings to Mic and the kids as they journey through this difficult loss.

Known as the play lady to my son, she will always hold a special place in my heart. I´m sorry for your loss, I know she loved being a wife and mother.

Lynette “Lynn” E. Van Wagnen (née Ego) of Lorain, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at the age of 64.
Lynn is a Lorain native and graduated from Lorain High School in 1976 where she met her soul mate, Michael “Mickey” Van Wagnen when they were high school sophomores. Mickey professed his love to Lynn by renting a billboard for a month on Colorado Avenue. After Mickey asked her several times to marry him, Lynn finally said, “Yes” over a delicious spaghetti and meatball dinner. This began their journey together as husband and wife. They were together for nearly 45 years.
Lynn dedicated her life to her three children: Jason, 38, Gabrielle (Brie), 36 and Jillian, 32. She was the foundation for the family and always will be. If someone asked Lynn what her greatest achievement was, her response was always her children growing into their own as kind and strong-willed individuals. Lynn recently became a Grandmother for the first time to Mikayla Cavelle Auvil. Lynn always wanted to be a Grandmother, and this joyous milestone completed her.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Mickey, and children, Jason, Brie (Kevin), Jillian, beautiful grandchild Mikayla and grand-furbaby, Zona. Lynn is survived by her brother, Doug Ego and sister, Pamela Jean Dalzell.
Lynn’s parents, James "Jim" and Victoria "Vicki" Ego preceded her in death. She will also be with her many loving pets that she cared for throughout the years, most notably, her first grand-furbaby, General Patton.
No funeral or memorial service is planned. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in Lynn’s name to the Berea Animal Rescue Fund: https://www.bereaanimalrescue.com/. Lynn loved animals and her children volunteer at this organization on a regular basis.
