I danced with Lynn back in the Charmaine Days and looked up to her as she was the most beautiful ballerina I had ever met. Lynn, May you Rest in Peace and my thoughts and prayers with the rest of the family.

Lynn T. Elkas

1955 – 2017

 

West Springfield – Lynn T. Elkas, 61, passed away Sunday at home surrounded by her loving family.  Lynn was born in Springfield, grew up in West Springfield and lived in Agawam for 20 years before moving to Wilbraham 5 years ago.  She graduated from St. Thomas Elementary School, West Springfield High School and Holyoke Community College before starting her career as a secretary for Buxton and later Southworth Paper.  Lynn loved to crochet.  Her husband Murray Elkas died in 1989.  She leaves a brother-in-law Steven Elkas and his daughter Rebecca Kenniston both of Wilbraham.  Besides her husband, Lynn was predeceased by her mother Arlene Voyik and sister Susan T. Kenniston.  A graveside service will be held in St. Thomas Cemetery in West Springfield Thursday at 1:30pm.  The West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home is handling all arrangements.  For online condolences please visit curranjones.com.
