Thoughts and prayers during this time for your family.

We are very sorry for your loss. Lynn was always special when we saw her. She was our sister in law . Her husband and my husband were brothers. We won't be able to come down at this time due to having the flu but we are sending flowers to the cemetery. God bless all those left behind.

Lynn was my 6th grade teacher and also my guidance counselor at jr high. I thought the world of her, many prayers for the family

She was always there for our class of 1982.

Lynn and I taught together at Mason Elementary and became good friends.
Sending greetings and sympathy to Todd and all of her family.

She'll be missed she was my counselor in school many many years ago

Lynn was such a sweet lady I love talking to her she would always touch base when I was home from the beach Prayers to the family

Lynn's Obituary

 

H. Lynn (Buchanan) Kitchen, 83, of Mason, WV, passed away March 10, 2026, at her home following a sudden illness. 

She was born on October 4, 1942, in Middleport, OH a daughter of the late James and Helen (Amick) Buchanan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. “Chuck” Kitchen.

She was a retired Guidance Counselor from Wahama High School, Mason, WV, and a former teacher with over 25 years of service. 

She was a member and long-time pianist of the Mason United Methodist Church and enjoyed music. She was a member of Mason, WV, Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star # 157. She enjoyed her Tudor’s Breakfast Club and Ohio University Bobcats. 

Survivors include her son Todd and his wife Mary Kitchen of Mason, WV; grandchildren, Lesile Lynn Kitchen of Mason and Tyler James Kitchen and Candace of Ravenswood; great-grandchildren, Landen James and Mylen Clark Kitchen; sister, Nancy (Joe) Taposci of Howard, OH. 

Graveside service will be 1 p.m. ~ March 15, 2026, in Riverview Cemetery, Middleport, OH.
