Mabel's Obituary

Mabel Mae Bendetta, 94, of Magnolia, passed away at Tuesday, December 23rd, 2014 at Hennis Care in Bolivar. Mabel was born in Salineville, OH on December 30, 1919, a daughter of the late William and Ola (Maple) House.She served as the Postmaster in Malvern for 20 years and was the owner of Bendetta Food Market for 20 years. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, the National League of Postmasters, and the Home Extension. Mabel is survived by a daughter, Kaaren (John Sr.) Grodhaus, of Magnolia, OH; a son, Donald (Virginia) Bendetta, of Naples, FL; grandchildren Christine Grimes of North Canton, Jeffrey Bendetta of Naples, FL, Donald P. (Carmella) Bendetta of North Canton, Steven Bendetta of Sandusky, Theresa McCaulley of Dellroy, John Grodhaus, Jr., of Dellroy; nine great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bendetta; sisters Meryle McCully, Louise Messenger and brothers Fred and Earl HouseA Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Malvern, at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 27th, 2014 with Celebrant Fr. Victor Cinson. Calling hours will be held Saturday one hour before services at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave. SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
