Mackulin's Obituary

Mr. Mackulin C. Williams, Sr., 72, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026, in Beaumont, Texas. 

The Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Williams will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church of Jesus Christ located at 2580 W. Lucas Dr., Beaumont, Texas 77706 with burial to follow at Live Oak Memorial Park and Cemetery in Nederland, Texas.  A public viewing will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026 from 12:00 Noon until 5:00 p.m. at Mercy Funeral Home Chapel and visitation will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Church, with the practicing of social distancing and Facial Masks recommended.

Mackulin Carl Williams, Sr. was born on June 28, 1953, as the 4th child of the late LV and Tommie Jewel Williams in Port Arthur, Texas.Mack was reared in Port Arthur, Texas and attended and graduated from Lincoln High School, class of 1971. After graduation he moved to Beaumont, Texas where he was eventually employed by EXONN-MOBILE. Mack Williams began his career at the Exxon Mobil Beaumont Refinery on June of 1973. His Line of Progression through Mechanical and Assistant Supervisory positions culminated in his becoming a Supervisor w/ Lube Pumpers. After thirty-nine years of Service he happily retired in 2012 to pursue his "Honey Do "Business” He remained employed with them for many years and retired in 2013.On June 18, 1996, he married his lifelong partner and love of his life, Iris Williams. Together for thirty years, he and Iris traveled around the country. He enjoyed exotic vacation spots, attended baseball games at various baseball venues all over the United States. He was a baseball enthusiast, serving from Little League Coach to Umpire. He took every opportunity he could to attend the World Series and even an occasional NBA championship game. Mack enjoyed hunting also and was an expert deer hunter.  He loved being with family and friends and especially his grandchildren who were the light of his life.Mack was raised in a Christian environment. His early Christian life was as a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Port Arthur, Texas. He later joined and attended Emmanuel Baptist Church of Jesus Christ in Beaumont, Texas where he faithfully served as a Deacon. Mack was a dedicated member until his passing. Mack was quiet by nature, but his presence always made a great impact on his family and friends.On Saturday, March 14, 2026, Mackulin Williams transitioned from time to eternity at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont Texas, after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dawn Williams; parents, LV and Tommie Williams; siblings, Mary Matthews, LV Williams, Jr. and Evelyn Nunn; parents-In-law, Alton, Sr. and Margie Laday; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Ervin Matthews and Robert Mitchell and Rita Williams.He leaves to lovingly cherish his memory a loving wife, Iris Williams; one son, Mackulin Williams, Jr.; grandchildren, Jordyn Edwards, Kennedy Williams, Gabrielle Williams, Mackulin "Tre" Williams, III and Paige Williams; sisters, Joyce Robinson (Harvey) and Winifred Favors(Michael); brothers, Walter Williams and Everett Williams (Bernice); sisters-In-law, Pamela Mitchell and Shirley Smith (James); brother-in-law, Alton Laday, II; aunt, Adeline Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and lifelong friends.
