Manuel Vieira Jr. lived a life full of rhythm, laughter, and love. A natural-born musician, bassist, and vocalist, he had an incredible ear for music — learning simply by listening. Whether he was performing, joking around, or sharing stories, Manuel had a gift for lighting up every room he walked into. His humor, warmth, and easy charm made him the center of attention wherever he went.Manuel’s passions were as vibrant and varied as he was. He loved fishing and boating — especially buying boats, fixing them up, and passing them along to the next owner. A car enthusiast at heart, he was loyal to Ford and Chrysler, and found joy in attending hot rod shows and taking long drives behind the wheel. He appreciated the beauty in life’s simple moments — like walking outside after a storm with his family — and he treasured those quiet times together most of all.Known as a true “jack of all trades,” there was little he couldn’t do. And no matter the occasion, Manuel did it with style — his many suits held memories of special moments, each one a story of its own.Manuel was predeceased by his parents, Manuel Vieira Sr. and Lauriana (Quental) Vieira, his sister Laurie Vieira and niece Kimberly Vasconcellos, his second wife Colleen Vieira, his daughter Jamie McElroy, and his longtime partner of 25 years, Linda “Trippy” Vennard.He is survived by his sister Janice Vasconcellos; his niece Jen Viveiros and her husband Mike Viveiros; his children Scott Vieira, Kevin Vieira and his wife Debra Vieira, Shawn Vieira and his wife Lisa Vieira, Lisa Medeiros (Vennard) and her wife Brenda Sam Medeiros; and his first wife Geraldine Vieira. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Cameron Vieira, Devon McElroy, Leanne Vieira, Zackery Medeiros, Jessica Bouchard, and Alexandria Vieira, and leaves behind many great-grandchildren who will forever carry his spirit forward.Family and friends are invited to honor and celebrate Manuel’s life at his wake, to be held on Wednesday October 15th from 9AM to 1PM; at Boule Funeral Home, Fall River, MA 02724.Manuel’s laughter, music, and boundless love for life will echo forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
