Not sure what to say?

I was privileged to work with Marc (Coach) for many years at the Republican-American. It was always a pleasure to talk with him and every conversation seemed to end with laughter. My deepest condolences.

Condolences to the Silvestrini family. I go way back with Marc to his days at St. Rita School, Notre Dame and Hamden. We all had nicknames, Marcs nickname was streak (he really wasn't a very fast runner) but we spent many days and nights together along with friends Eddy S., Jim B. and myself. Our lives revolved around all kinds of sports, especially basketball, trips to the Spring Glen Pharmacy for a vanilla or chocolate coke, or down to the Dairy Queen for ice cream. We had a lot of fun...

My sincere condolences go out to Lucille and family on their loss of such a great person that Marc was. I had the pleasure of working with him at The Press for many years as well as playing softball on our company sponsored team. Marc was by far a man with many talents. Rest in Peace Brother!

I was lucky to of had Marc as my Semi Pro football coach. He was passionate about the game but even more passionate about the bond we all made. He was always smiling and joking. He was the definition of a Coach. A great loss of a great man. Rest peacefully Coach

What a wonderful human being. I will always remember his laugh, especially when we spoke of Dallas vs the Giants. Sharlene and I will always hold close the memories of the "get togethers" at your house. Remember my bachelor party Marc. We will miss you brother. Rick and Sharlene

A gentle, giving soul, with a heart of gold. He gave so much to so many. A gentleman.

Marc was the epitome of the "hail fellow well met" character you always hear about. I worked with him in both Middletown and Waterbury and looked forward to seeing him at Press reunions. My colleagues at both newspapers have shared their condolences since we got word of his passing. I can remember specific stories and columns he wrote over the years -- they were that memorable. He could be equally enthusiastic about a new theory on the dinosaurs as he could about a football play he drew up as...
