Not sure what to say?

Marcella is one of my last older friends. We had a lot of good times together when I was growing up. We would watch Price as Right together and I would always watch her cook. I sat with her and her mom when they were quilting. I couldn’t quilt but I could keep them entertained. I have so many stories I could tell lots of good memories

We've lost someone who touched
the lives of many
And who will be deeply missed.

Marcella was a good friend to my mother Frances Poe for many years! Their Tuesday quilting group was one of my mother's pleasures! When I retired I would take my Mother every Tuesday! You could learn a lot from those quilting ladies! After I moved to Maryland I would try to stop by Marcellas for a visit! However with distance and age my stopping became less! I will always remember Marcella and her stories of watching dancing with th stars! Her layered salad was wonderful! My sympathy...

Marcella's Obituary

Marcella A. Pendleton (née Poertner), born June 27, 1931 passed away on Saturday morning, August 2, 2025 . She was 94 years old.

Beloved wife of the late Donald E. Pendleton, she is survived by her son Keith Pendleton, his wife Nancy, and their children Andrew and Jennifer.

Marcella was a sweet and caring person. After retiring from Pond Elementary as a library aide, she was an avid quilter and quilt maker, forming lifelong friendships and relationships through her active participation with the quilting group at Bethel Church. She loved her family and friends, and could always be found either quilting, crocheting, or listening to a St. Louis Cardinals game!

Marcella’s memory lives on in all those who loved and cared for her. We were blessed to have her in our lives, and she will live forever in our hearts.
