Marchello's Obituary

Marchello Dupree WoodardJuly 22, 1981 – July 2, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marchello Dupree Woodard, age 43, of Erie, PA, who departed this life on July 2, 2025.

Born on July 22, 1981. Marchello was the beloved son of Martha Bradley and Charles Woodard. He was a devoted father to his three children: Malakai Woodard, Mekhia Woodard, and Major Woodard, who were the pride and joy of his life.

Marchello was a man of vision and ambition. As a dedicated entrepreneur, he found joy in building and creating, always striving to leave a positive mark. He had a passion for fitness, fashion, cooking, and good food—but above all, he treasured time spent with his children.

His generosity and kind spirit were felt deeply in the Erie community, where he gave selflessly and supported others in quiet, meaningful ways.

He was a longtime member of the YMCA, and his spiritual walk included attending services at Abundant Life Ministries and Victory Christian Center Cathedral.

Marchello was a man of peace, love, and kindness—an undeniable blessing to all who knew him.

He leaves to cherish his memory: One daughter, Mekhia Woodard; two sons, Malakai Woodard and Major Woodard; his mother, Martha Bradley; his father, Charles Woodard; one brother, Dominque Bradley; one sister, Snowie Crosby; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles “Charlie” Woodard Jr.

Friends may visit with the family at Second Baptist Church, 757 E 26th St, Erie, PA 16504, on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Pastor Ryan Gaines will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery, 2601 Norcross Road, Erie, PA 16510. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at Booker T. Washington Center, 1702 Holland St, Erie, PA 16503 at 3:00pm. Professional services are entrusted to Pitts Funeral Home, 2926 Pine Avenue, Erie, PA 16504.

Marchello’s presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit lives on in the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the legacy he leaves behind.
