I’m at a loss for words. Marcus and Travis were friends. We grew up together. We had our ins and outs like all friends do but to hear of this has blown me away. I’m so sorry for your loss. May god bless you and hold you. You’ll be in my prayers.

I had no idea Marcus had passed away, til a friend told me in church tonight, I was saddened by seeing this late! My son was a childhood friend of Marcus and his brother Travis, there are no words, many prayers sent to the momma, Granny, brother and family, friends, so sorry

Marcus Gayle Goad, 40 of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Goad was born in Mt. Airy, NC on October 19, 1983 and was preceded in death by his father, Marcus L. Goad and brother, Travis Eli Goad.
Survivors include his mother, Elaine Osborne; grandmother, Oma Jean Osborne; aunt, Deborah Joy; cousins, Chelsea Dunevant, Eithan Bryant and Junior; and a host of other family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 11, 2024 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Zeb Hicks officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
