Margaret Scott Allen, age 80, of St. Pauls, NC, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 28, 2025. She was born on January 31, 1945 to Walter Scott and Lizzie Revels.
Margaret, lovingly known as “Bo-Jack” by friends and family spent much of her spare time working in her garden, going to yard sales and listening to her favorite music. She loved God and will be remembered for her kindness. If she had a dollar, she would give you 75 cents of it.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Gene Allen; her son, Alton B. Jones, Jr., and Charles Allen; three brothers, Purcell Scott, Eddie Scott and Neal Locklear; four sisters, Mary Ann Scott, Mattie Locklear, Shirley Scott, Jenny Scott, and Betty Scott; and her granddaughter, Shanelle Jones.
Margaret is survived by her three sons, Jimmy Jones (Debbie), Billy Ray Jones (Nancy) of St. Pauls, and James Allen (Edna) of Magnolia, NC; four daughters, Jennifer Davis (Dale) of Lumberton, Nancy Allen of Hillsboro, Romay Allen (Freddie) of Hillsboro and Jenny “Ding-Ding” Rackley (Joey) of Warsaw; a sister, Ruth Scott of Cumberland County; a daughter-in-law, Crystal Martin; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A time of visitation will take place on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 2:00PM - 3:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, 809 E. 5th St. Lumberton, NC with a funeral service to follow at 3:00PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel.
Burial will follow the service at Floyd Memory Gardens, 3720 Old Whiteville Hwy., Lumberton, NC, 28358.
