Not sure what to say?

David, I have fond memories of living with Marge in Denver. I remember you two meeting at the Little Bear and all the fun we had while you were dating. Marge was a great lady. My condolences to you and the family.

Loving Light Dishgarden

David, her children and grandchildren, brothers and sisters, I'm sorry for the loss of someone that you loved so deeply! I have so many memories of my times with Margie when we were younger. While she was my dad's first cousin, we always felt like we were the first cousins, because we were so close in age!! It was always so good for me to "catch up" with her when she made it back, and the last time that I saw her and did that, was at Steve's wake. I pray that you are able to laugh through...

I remember Marge and “the McCabes”, so well!
Marge and I are the same age ( seems like a young “old age”!)
So sorry to all who loved her!
She was a great woman in her earlier years, when we gathered at family reunions! Sounds like that was who she was her entire life!

Margaret's Obituaries

Margaret E. Johnson, 68 of Arden Hills, MN peacefully passed away, surrounded by family, on Sunday, January 25, 2026. A Memorial Mass will be at 10:30am Friday January 30th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bernard, Iowa. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery.  The Reiff Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Marge was born the daughter of Laverne “Pete” and Lorraine (Toussaint) McCabe on June 13, 1957, in Monticello, Iowa. She graduated from Western Dubuque Community School District and then obtained a degree from the University of Northern Iowa. Margaret married David Johnson on August 30, 1985, in Kentucky, where they lived for a short time before settling in Arden Hills, Minnesota.

Marge worked in accounting but found her true calling in being a mother. She lived for her children and grandchildren. Time with them kept her going. She was a gentle soul, selfless, stubborn, funny, and a fighter.

From the beaches of Hawaii to the mountain tops of Colorado, she enjoyed being outdoors and adventuring with her sons no matter where it was. She was a bargain shopper, always on the hunt for nicknacks and sifting through craft fairs looking for deals. She enjoyed watching sports and cheering for any team her sons wanted to win. She was a reliable friend in times of need and hours of talking could go by without notice.

Marge is survived by her husband, David Johnson; children, Greg (Sadie) Johnson, Mark Johnson, and Jeff Johnson; grandchildren, Luke and Taylor; siblings, Ruth (David) Dominy, Jim (Kathy) McCabe, Jeanne Sadler, Pat McCabe; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Lorraine McCabe.  Siblings, Mary (Dan) McKenna, Bob (Loey) McCabe, Steve McCabe, nephew Jay McCabe and brother-in-law Charles Sadler.
