Margaret Leopold Obituary

Margaret Ann Leopold, 89, of Pacoima, California, passed away on November 12, 2025, surrounded by family.

She was born on October 9, 1936, in New Iberia, Louisiana, to Ethel Louise Sweet and Planey Broussard. Ann grew up in Jennings, Louisiana, as one of eight siblings, a childhood that shaped her deep sense of resilience, family devotion, and generosity of spirit. She accepted Christ at a young age, a foundation of faith that guided her throughout her life.

In 1956, Ann married Willie (Lee) Leopold Sr. After marrying, Ann and Lee moved to California, where they built a life filled with love, community, and opportunity. They had two children, Willie Jr. and Cheryl, whom they raised with the values they held dear.

Ann was the heart of her family. She was known for her unwavering love, her generosity, and the way she made everyone feel welcomed and cared for. She lived with a grace and steadiness that touched every life around her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie (Lee) Leopold Sr., her parents, and six of her siblings.

She is survived by her son, Willie Leopold Jr. and his wife Lil Etta; her daughter, Cheryl; her grandchildren, Jason Leopold and Ashley Bradley; her grandson-in-law, Jonathan Bradley; and her great-grandson, Nathan Bradley. She is also survived by her sister, Jay Rideaux, and her husband Hunter, along with a host of nieces and nephews and friends who loved her dearly.
