Not sure what to say?

So sorry to hear of Margaret´s passing. I remember how beautiful she always was. Knowing she is in the arms of the Lord now will give comfort to those who mourn her passing.

May her memory be a blessing

Margaret will always be remembered as a gracious & kind person. I had the privilege of knowing Margret in High School @ SJA.

I agree with all that was said about dear Margaret. I remember playing at their home in Chaminade Park - her parents and siblings were so welcoming . At Our Lady of the Pillar, we knew she was one of the best students in our 8th grade class. I then had the privilege of going to St. Joe with her. Thank you, Good Lord, for loaning us this magnificent woman. Rest now, sweetheart, you are at peace now.

I'm so sad to hear this news. I loved working with Margaret so much. She was a bright spot in my day.

Margaret was a kind and beautiful person. I had the pleasure of working with her from December 2018 until her retirement in 2020. Sending heartfelt condolences to her family. May God bless Margaret and may she be in His presence eternally.

My deepest sympathy to Margaret's family & friends. Margaret had such a gentle and kind presence during our time at SJA. She will be remembered fondly by all of us from the Class of '70.

Margaret was and always will be spiritually gorgeous.

Kind, gentle, extremely intelligent, stunningly beautiful, lived her faith, terrific sense of humor, deeply loving, an utterly lovely sister.

Obituary

Margaret's Obituary

Margaret Gipson Madden went home to be with her Savior on October 20, 2025. She died peacefully, secure in the hope of the resurrection and filled with complete trust in Jesus.

Margaret, born April 5, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri, was the beloved wife of the late Jerome "Jerry" Madden, loving mother of Joseph (Molly) Madden, and loving grandmother of Simon Jerome Madden. She is also survived by her sisters Mary (Thomas) Logan, Martha Gipson (Stephen Vatterott), and Marie Allen (Robert Geekie); and her brothers Philip (Pamela) Gipson and Christopher Gipson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Geraldine Gipson, and her brother, Thomas Gipson. She was a dear aunt, cousin, and friend of many more.

Margaret was warm, sociable, highly intelligent, and selfless. She was an empathetic listener, and she enjoyed a good laugh. She loved the music of the '60s and '70s, and she could be counted on to remember the lyrics. She served children through volunteer work in the St. Louis area for many years, and even very late in her life, Margaret was unfailingly considerate of others. Decades of walking with the Lord shaped her gentle and beautiful spirit.

She treasured her siblings and their families and thought the world of all of them, and she was especially delighted by her grandson Simon. Margaret and Jerry were married for forty-two wonderful years, all spent in her hometown of St. Louis, where she will be laid to rest alongside Jerry.
