Margaret Sue Teaster, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at the Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion, VA.
Margaret was the daughter of the late William & Laura Barbree Williams. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Teaster; daughter Debra Totton; brothers Philbert & Albert Williams; and three great grandchildren to include Joseph Pennington. Margaret was well known for her love of cookies and was lovingly known by many as “Cookie”.
She is survived by her son Darren Teaster; grandchildren Jeff Crouse and Jamie Crouse; son-in-law Gary Neal; great grandchildren Dakota, Vivian, & Cayden Crouse; close special family friends Shirley Anderson, Pat Atkins, and Donna Wojo and family; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to express a special Thanks to Faith Garrett for everything she done for Margaret and the family over the years.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 12:00PM, Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Wassum Cemetery in Atkins with Pastor Mike Sage officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
