Margaret's Obituary

Saratoga Springs - Margaret Von Stetina, age 68, died November 9, 2017 at Saratoga Hospital. From her birth in Scotia, NY, on January 9, 1949, until her death on Thursday she was a woman who cared and gave everything of herself to others.

Margaret was the only child of the late Elinore & Vincent Karl. She was raised in Scotia and graduated from Scotia Glenville High School in 1967. She then went on to attend Albany Junior College, married Gerald Von Stetina on October 17, 1970, and worked several years at MTI until starting her own family. They settled in and raised their family in Saratoga Springs, NY.

Margaret was an avid reader and skilled at sewing. She was quick to give a helping hand, lend a listening ear, or be a voice of guidance in confusing times. She enjoyed traveling to ocean destinations, laughing with her family, and watching her grandchildren grow.

Margaret is survived by her husband Gerald Von Stetina, daughter Lisa England, son-in law Ryan England, and two grandchildren Gabriella and Evan England.

She is predeceased by her son Robert Joseph Von Stetina.
