Group of 10 Trees

Thanks for all the good times Marge. Quilting was our gig. Going to Over The Rainbow quilting retreat so many times was so much fun. You were a beautiful person inside and out. Glad to have had you in my life.

Dear Eric,
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Marge was a friend at the Quilting Group, Pinheads, at Bethany Covenant Church. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May God bring you his peace and comfort.
Sincerely, Nancy Hoffman

Marge's Obituary

Marge "Mimi" Cowee passed away peacefully on September 25, 2022, in Mount Vernon, WA.

Mimi was born on August 8, 1941 in Los Angeles, CA. Her childhood was spent in sunny California until she was 9. Her family then moved to Hawaii for 5 years. They settled in Sacramento, CA where she lived most of her life. Mimi's first real job was for Pacific Bell Phone Company, where she also retired in 1986. She married Jerry John Cowee and they had a son, Eric, in 1968. Mimi spent time in Sun Valley, ID before moving to Washington State in 1999.

Mimi spent a lot of time with family, especially her granddaughter, Sarah. She loved animals! Her dog, Abbey, was always by her side. Mimi also had several very good girlfriends that were like family to her; Arlene, Lanna, and Jill. Mimi became quite the seamstress later in life. She was in several quilting groups, and she also loved to crotchet. Mimi enjoyed a good game of Cribbage and Yahtzee, as well. She belonged to clubs such as ASPCA, Burlington Senior Center, Bethany Covenant Church, and quilting groups.

Mimi is preceded in death by her parents, John Asher Ruggs and Lois Geraldine Murrey, and  brothers Bob and Jack Ruggs. She is survived by son Eric John Cowee(Margo Cowee); granddaughter Sarah Jane Cowee; neice Mary Anne Paget; and great-niece Ellie Paget.

A small, family only, service was held on October 22, 2022.
