I Felt like I Knew Sue through Her Son Chris and Megan. She Was kind, Sweet, Generous, and Loving. She will be missed by so many. I know Sue is Resting and Will Rejoice with The Lord and All the People that Went before Her. We Fell in Love with you Sue.

Margie's Obituary

Margie Sue Hornbaker, 83, of Wichita Falls, passed away peacefully and went home to be with Jesus on October 30, 2025. 

The family will receive friends between 6 and 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at Connect Church with interment to follow at Rosemont Cemetery under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls. 

She was born on August 14, 1942, in Wichita Falls, where she lived a life filled with love, faith, and devotion to her family.

Sue was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who found joy in the simple blessings of life. She loved gardening, cooking, spending time with family, and collecting frogs a hobby that always brought her a smile. Her kind heart, gentle humor, and unwavering faith made her a light in the lives of all who knew her.

A devoted Christian, Sue lived as a true reflection of Proverbs 31 a woman of strength, dignity, and grace. Her faith in God guided every step of her life, and her love for others was a testament to that faith.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Ray Hornbaker; son Chris Swindle and his wife Megan; her 2 stepdaughters Tina Keel and her husband Bobby; Beverly Honkomp and her husband Daniel; her 2 brothers Bobby Harbuck and his wife Melinda; Jay Melton and his wife Alicia; 3 grandchildren Gary Moore Jr and his wife Renee; 2 granddaughters Emily and Bridgette Moore; daughter in law Tammy Moore-Rallis; sister in law Doris Albert; aunt Oleta Fierro and  many nieces and nephews and great grandchildren.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; Lee Vern Melton and Ike Harbuck Sr., stepfather Hilliard Melton, her late husband Roger Swindle; son Gary Moore Sr., her brother Ike Harbuck Jr and 2 her sisters Gayle Kidder and Shirley McDaniel.

Sue will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her generous heart, her love for her family, and her steadfast faith in the Lord.
