With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Maria de Jesus Diosdado Perez, who was born on May 22, 1954, in Mexico and entered eternal rest on February 25, 2026, in Houston at the age of 71.
Maria was the heart of her family. A woman of quiet strength, deep faith, and endless compassion. She carried within her the warmth of her homeland and the fierce love of a devoted mother. Her life was defined by sacrifice, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to her children and grandchildren. No matter the circumstance, she gave selflessly, loved unconditionally, and forgave freely.
She endured unimaginable loss in her lifetime and was preceded in death by her beloved children, Marina Arredondo Diosdado, Norma Elena Arredondo, and Daniel Arredondo. She is now reunited with them, as well as with her cherished parents, Jesus Diosdado and Enriquetta Perez Jasso, and her dear sister, Maria Lydia Arredondo.
Though her heart carried grief, it also overflowed with love. She leaves behind her devoted children: Faustino Espinoza, Mariano Espinoza, Yeni Arredondo, Marisol Jasso, and Jaime Arredondo, who were her pride and purpose.
Her grandchildren, Pedro Emilio, Daisy Jean, Aaliyah Jay, David, Rolando, Angel, Alexander Santos, Adam, Juan Melissa, Gabriela, Marisol, Chris, Rico, Jayden, Genesis, Ana, Norma, Nadia, Joseph, and Francisco were the light of her life. She treasured every hug, every laugh, and every moment spent surrounded by them. She was also blessed with 20 great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy and renewed her spirit.
Maria’s love extended far beyond her immediate family. She is also survived by numerous relatives and lifelong friends who will forever remember her kindness, her gentle words, her strength during hardship, and the comfort of her presence.
Family and friends are invited to honor and celebrate her beautiful life. Services are entrusted to South Houston Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
While our hearts are broken, we find peace in knowing that her love does not end here. It lives on in every child, grandchild, and great-grandchild she leaves behind. Her memory will forever be a blessing, and her spirit will continue to guide and watch over those she loved so dearly.
